I saw both No Country For Old Men and Sicko in Cannes (http://cannesgirl.blogspot.com/) and was disappointed when Bardem didn't walk away with an award, so I hope he wins an Oscar. As for Sicko, I really thought it was super-simplistic and mostly a vehicle to promote Michael Moore rather than anything else; I hate it how he stages himself in faux improvised scenes, argh. And there are so many GREAT documentaries out there that are disregarded, sigh. Oh well.

We have one French, at least! Marion was really fabulous in the Edith Piaf film. I hope you have seen it!

ML: i think michael moore has balls, and i love people with balls. (i agree that there are more worthy documentaries out there that never get the recognition--you should blog about them!)

AC: I actually have not! It's on my queue.

elizabeth: yay! i'm glad you found it. those are beautiful pups.

thanks for reading, all!
